Ministries

Immanuel offers a rich variety of programs to touch many needs and interests.  We seek to build faith and fellowship among all ages, and provide opportunity for practical expression of Christian endeavor.

Acolytes

Teens have much to offer the church. One way Immanuel gives teens the opportunity to serve Christ is through the acolyte program. Training is given during Confirmation or as needed.

Sign-up on the bulletin board next to the Gym. Tammy will contact you before the event. Cost is posted and billed later. Flower donors may take flowers home after late services.

Bus Ministry

Confirmation

Confirmation begins in the sixth grade on Wednesday evenings; this is called Level One. Levels two and three begin in the summer following their sixth grade year.

Tuesday's with God

Tuesday morning Bible study begins with a coffee time at 9:30 and then lively Bible study, sharing, and fellowship from 10:00 to 11:30.

Craft Circle

Meets year round Thursday mornings at 9:15 (except in December). Activities include craft items for annual bazaar and quilt tying for Lutheran World Relief.

Mid-Week Bible Studies

A Christian Education program offered on Wednesday nights during the school year for ages preschool through adult. All classes begin at 6 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. Nursery is also provided for infants thru 2 year of age. 5th grade Early Communion classes and Confirmation Level One also meet during this time.

Cornerstone Membership Classes

This series of classes is held three or more times each year on Sundays to prepare people for membership or to provide a basic doctrinal review.  Dates and times are published in advance.  Transferring Lutherans may also attend this class.

Hilltoppers

Hilltoppers gather once a month for fellowship - an excursion, a potluck, a speaker, a musical group - always something to interest persons over 55.  All ages are welcome!

Wings

Wednesday Christian Education and activities during the school year for teens grades 7-12.  Dinner, Bible study, recreation, and worship all happen during Wednesday nights or "Midweek Bible Study".

Lutheran Women's Missionary League

A synod-wide organization of women that assists each woman in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.

Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry group meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. Dinner is always served, a devotion shared, and a guest speaker talks on various topics related to men.

Groups include Adult Choir, ImmanuelLIGHTS choir for children, instrumental ensemble, and hand bells.  Monthly calendar and weekly bulletin give times of practices & more information.

"Immanuel's Bits and Pieces" newsletter is published monthly.  Deadline for articles/information is due on the 15th of the month.

The nursery is offered every Sunday from 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and on Wednesday evenings during Cafe Immanuel for ages birth through 2 years.

Overcomer's Outreach

A bridge between 12-step groups and the church. The group shares their experience, strength, and hope for recovery.  Meets 2 times a week on Sundays, 9:30-10:30 a.m. and Thursdays 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Spomer Education Annex located west of the parking lot.
