We are still figuring out how best to do life together. The decisions to gather or not gather are not being made lightly. There is much thought that goes into these decisions, the health of the congregation, the staff, our community, and our public witness. The church, while being a light on a hill, must also be a friend to the community around us. We are not of the world, but certainly during a time like this we realize we are in the world.
For the sake of good order and health, we will once again gather online this week, both Wednesday and Sunday. Please keep checking our Facebook page and our web page to see video encouragements and other notes. The leadership of Immanuel is working on a plan for family communion. You will be given more details after a safe and effective process is finalized.
Be disappointed that we cannot gather, but do not grumble. Be sad that we are separated, but do not lose hope, for hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. We will gather together again. We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper as the family of God again, and when we do, what a celebration it will be.
Blessings, peace, and joy be multiplied to you,
